Howley Engineering - Exciter Gear Units

Howley, in conjunction with Corus UK Ltd, have designed and manufactured a linear motion exciter gearbox for use with vibration screens. The severe duty that this gear unit has to endure necessitates higher service factors on all components, particularly the bearings and gears which are subjected to high centrifugal oscillating forces. A special test rig has been manufactured to assimilate the vibration screen and the gear unit is test run in this rig to ensure satisfactory operation for our client.

Howley also refurbish vibration screen drives other than the linear gearbox. Again, the drives are always test run prior to despatch.
